HOW WAS YOUR CHRISTMAS……………………..???

How was your Christmas? Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Mine was superb. I did not travel to the village because I could not afford to miss out to watch our Church’s Christmas production. This year’s Christmas Cantata made an impact on my life and I had a meaningful Christmas this year.

You all know how I love Music, Dance and Drama. It made me remember the words of William of Valley ward Church. "The Ministry needs young people like you Henry for tomorrow’s church" he said.
I liked the idea of bringing in the children from the church’s Sunday school to take up some roles in the Christmas Cantata. For those of you who missed out, you can enjoy the birth of Christ through the pictures bellow.

The Good News Choir gave their best

Joseph and Mary played well.

Mary was very interesting

The wise Men did a good Job.
Pastor Solomon did a very good backup and Pastor Doreen was a nice trainer.

Behold the lord of Shiloh.....!!!!!!!!!!!

TEXT: The whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh and set up the Tabernacle of meeting there. And the land was subdued before them. But there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes which had not yet received their inheritance. (Joshua 18:1-2)

The birth of Jesus

In preparation for our end of year Shiloh program scheduled to begin on 31st through 1st January, 2010 at Good News Church, I am obliged to share some of the revelations I received concerning Shiloh with all of our partners and friends and members around the world.

Shiloh was the place where the Tabernacle of meeting was set up for the purpose of worship and sacrifice after the land had been subdued for them by God. The people of Israel came to Shiloh annually to feast, to worship and to offer their sacrifice.

One of the significant aspects of Shiloh is that it was where the remaining seven tribes of Israel were allotted their inheritance. Shiloh was where the distribution of the land of Canaan to the Israelites was concluded. This is where the exercise of distributing the land was finalized. (Joshua 19:51) If you didn’t get your portion at Shiloh , you would have missed out. The distribution was done by casting lots. What you get depends on your lot. (Joshua 18: 10) The people would probably have prayed fervently for a lot for a good and fertile land. The belief of the people was that Shiloh is a place where you come to possess your possession. It became a tradition where the people came annually to pray for a better lot for things that will add value to their lives.

The mentality of the people was that if you miss it at Shiloh , you could hardly get it again. It may mean that you have to wait for another year when the feast will come up. That is why the people that come to Shiloh come with a sense of desperation. They come with determination to receive from the Lord. They were not ready to take "No" for an answer. To them, Shiloh is not where you come with lackadaisical attitude. Shiloh is where you pour out your emotions. It is where you allow your tears to flow freely if you cannot hold it. Shiloh is where you let God know the disgraceful provocation you are going through.

I pray in the name of Jesus that this year Shiloh will be a turning point in your life. You will possess you possession. You will not miss out when others are receiving. The land will be subdued before you. When the lot is cast, you will inherit the best. Your shame shall turn to fame and provocations from your adversaries shall turn to congratulation.

Another interesting aspect of Shiloh is that it is where the curse and covenant of delay marriage was broken. When nearly all the male descendants of Jabesh- Gilead were killed, the young ladies there could not get husband to marry them. About four hundred virgins from the tribe of Jabesh-Gilead were crying because there was no man to marry them. Then, they were instructed to go and dance and celebrate at the annual feast at Shiloh . Also, the men of the tribe of Benjamin were crying for wives. Their tribe had been destroyed and those that remained were mostly men. The women had been killed and there was every indication that the tribe of Benjamin would go into extinction. They were also instructed to go to the annual feast at Shiloh .

It was at Shiloh that the four hundred virgins of Jabesh- Gilead (Daughters of Shiloh) met with young men of the tribe of Benjamin. While the daughters of Shiloh were dancing and performing, the young men from the tribe of Benjamin came out and rushed at them and took them as wives. (Judges 21: 23)

Shiloh is a place of divine connection for people looking unto God for a good husband or a good wife. If you are reading this message and you are in the shoe of the daughters of the tribe of Jabesh-Gilead or the young men of the tribe of Benjamin, I prophesy in the name of Jesus Christ that the God of Shiloh will connect you with the flesh of your flesh and bone of your bone. By this time of next Shiloh, you will come with a Testimony

Another thing that is so unique about Shiloh is that it is a place where the spirit of barrenness is put to shame. When you come to Shiloh with the expectation to receive the blessing of fruitfulness, you cannot go empty handed. Hannah had been coming to Shiloh for sometime with nothing to show for it. Then, one particular year, her rival (Peninnah, the second wife of her husband-Elkanah) provoked her beyond what she could bear emotionally. So when she got to Shiloh that year, she poured out her heart and her emotions before the Lord. In her prayer, she specifically asked God to give her a male child. Then she backed up her prayer with a vow. (1 Samuel 1: 1-28)

Now listen. When you want to receive at Shiloh, you must adopt the strategies of Shiloh . The first strategy is the strategy of specificity. This means that you have to be specific in your prayers. Don't just ask for blessing. Make it explicit whether it is the blessing of money, fruit of the womb, promotion at work, growth of your ministry, or spiritual blessing. Here, Hannah was specific. She asked God for a male child and that was what she got. Always be exact in your prayer request. When you are desperately in need of something, your prayer cannot be broad and general. In specific terms, you must talk it, sing it and dream it.

Another Shiloh strategy is that wise people that come to Shiloh always back up their prayers with vow. Vow is like fertilizer. It is borrowing from your future. After you have planted your prayer, you add fertilizers in order for it to grow and yield better fruits. A vow is like gasoline in your car. Your prayer is the car that can takes you from one point to the other. When your car is out of gasoline, then you get stranded. You must constantly fuel your prayer with the gasoline of a vow. This was what Hannah did and it worked for her and it will work for you.

Also, Shiloh is a place where you pray as if you are drunk. Hannah prayed as if she was drunk. Her mouth was moving, yet nobody could hear her voice. When the priest accused her of drunkenness, she said she was pouring out her heart to God. The priest then said "May it be unto you according to your heart desire" She received the blessing of the priest with strong faith. She stood up and wiped off her tears. The bible says her countenance changed. Once your countenance changes, your prayer has been answered.

Receiving from God is a matter of choice to either believe or refuse to believe by thinking over what the word says and see whether it makes sense to you or not, as you know here in Uganda we don’t have many choices but to believe and we see God at work.

We will end the year with this all night prayer and praise meeting at Good News Church with Holy Communion and also start our year in church. Those in Uganda who were there last year still remember the impact, the crowds that came but also the testimonies.

Tell your friend and get prepared for a great night of pouring out to God.

See you then.

Happiness is killing me........................

Welcome to Good News Church!

I am the church;
you are the church,
We are the church together.
All who follow Jesus, all around the world – yes, we’re the church together.
The church is not a building, the church is not a steeple,
The church is not a dwelling placeThe church is the people!
If you’re familiar with the lyrics of the children’s song above, you probably have the tune running through your head. Its message is so true: We are the church. The church is not a building or an organization; it’s us.

The apostle Paul uses the analogy of a human body as representing the Body of Christ – the church. “In Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others” (Romans 12:5 NIV). Each follower of Christ is a living, functioning part of something much bigger than himself. We are not our own. Each of us belongs to all the others and ultimately to God.

"Make Joyful noise to the lord our God"..... led by Pastor Doreen Mwesige

Have you seen this kind of happiness in your church before? if not....then join Good News church bulenga for your potion of happiness.

True meaning of a church. Cast you burdens.................................................!!!

SO GOD LAUGHS...............................!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming. The wicked have drawn the sword, and have bent their bow to cast down the poor and the needy and to slay those who are of upright conduct. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. (Psalm 37:12-15)

Recently, I discovered an aspect of God's character which is rarely talked about. This is what I want to share with you today. I know that God is merciful and compassionate. I know about His loving-kindness, and I know that God is full of grace. But I never knew that God could laugh and that He has a great sense of humor. One of the reasons why God laughs is when the wicked is planning for the downfall of the righteousness. God knows that such plan will never succeed and that the wicked will end up destroying himself. That is why the Psalmist says that "Their sword shall enter their own heart, and their bows shall be broken."(Psalm 37:15)

God must have been laughing at those who put Peter in jail expecting to execute him after the feast of Passover, because He knew that He would send His angel to release him before they could carry out their plan. (Acts 12:18-19). Also, God would have probably been laughing when Haman was constructing the gallows to hang Mordecai because He knew who would hang on the gallows. At the end of the day, Mordecai was found riding on the Kings horse while Haman was found dangling on the gallows he built for Godly Mordecai. (Esther 7:9-10) The people who masterminded the casting of Daniel into lion's den must have patted themselves at the back and also given themselves a high five in celebration for a job well done. God must have been laughing when they were putting their acts together, because He knew that they would end up in the stomach of the lion while Daniel would be enjoying lunch with the King rejoicing about Gods deliverance. (Daniel 6:24-27). The bible declares in the fourth verse of the second chapter of the book of Psalm that "He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision"

Whatever your enemies may be planning against you right now, the Lord who sits in the heavens is looking at them and probably be laughing at them because He knows that they are on a suicide mission. As long as you remain obedient and righteous, all your enemies have automatically become the enemies of God. That is why God laughs each time anybody is plotting against the beloved of God because He knows from the beginning that no enemy can defeat Him. It is funny to see or hear of somebody plotting against God. It is a foolish thing to do. Instead of having panic when your enemies are plotting against, why not join God to laugh? You will be amazed at the therapeutic benefits of laughing and smiling.

Make this confession, I will not fear the threats of my enemies, those who hate me and wish all evil for me, stress and shame will never be my share because surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, my children and my children’s childrens lives. Aaamen.

The Diet of CANAAN................................

The spirit of the Lord is upon me today to serve you the diet of Canaan. You cannot eat the diet of Canaan until you get to Canaan. However, Canaan is a promise land for covenant people. If you are not covenanted to live in Canaan, you will be removed. Remember that some people were in Canaan before the children of Israel got there. They were removed from the land so that the children of Israel could occupy it. Canaan is not a promise land for everybody.

However, that a land is a promise land does not mean that there will be no challenges in the land. That you are a covenant child of God does not mean that you will be totally immune from the challenges of life. Abraham was a covenant child of God, yet he was faced with the challenges of famine right in the promise land.( Genesis 12: 10-11) Isaac also faced the challenges of famine in the promised land.( Genesis 26:1-2) The same thing happened to Jacob. He faced the challenges of famine.( Genesis 43: 1-3)

The truth we always fail to realize is that the solution to all the challenges of the promised land could also be found right within the promise land. The solution is not in Egypt or elsewhere. But when the people in the promised land decide to come out of the promised land in search of solutions, the bible says they "went down".( Genesis 12:10; 26:2; 43:3) However, when they came out of Egypt, the bible says they "went up".( Genesis 13:1)

Before we can really appreciate the spiritual nutritional value of the diet of Canaan, we need to examine and analyze the spiritual nutritional facts of the diet of Egypt and the diet of the Wilderness. This is what I hope to do in the part two of this series.

The diet of Egypt is a diet of slavery. Egypt represents the world system. Pharaoh represents Satan who is the ruler of the world system. Egypt solution is man own way of solving his problem. It is the flesh approach to solving serious spiritual problems. Egypt solution might look initially attractive and enticing. But it is a bait towards bondage.

A Joseph may be around to assure you that there is no cause for alarm. The Joseph may even make provision for a place of comfort for you at Goshen. But Goshen and Canaan are not the same. Goshen may be fertile for livestock farming, but it is still located in Egypt, the land of bondage. Canaan was the land promised the children of Israel. Goshen was never a promise land.

THE DIET OF CANAAN (2)

THE DIET OF EGYPT

But very soon the Joseph and the reigning Pharaoh will die and another Pharaoh who will not know Joseph and the children of Israel will occupy the throne. This is the time that Egypt will show you her true color. The true color of Egypt is slavery and bondage. The new Pharaoh turned the covenant people of God to slaves. You cannot blame God for whatever happens to you as a covenant child of God if you walk out of the covenant or if you are totally ignorant of the existence of the covenant. The Hebrews did not know anything about their past. They did not know that they are covenant people and that their original home was Canaan.

While in slavery, the Hebrews were fed with some fish, cucumber, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. (Numbers 11:5). The major characteristics of this diet is that it is not a balance diet. The modern name for this type of food is salad. This is not really a solid food that can sustain a healthy living for people that are engaged in laborious tasks reserved for slaves. This food is given to the Hebrews not to give them robust health, but to sustain them so that they could continue to work as slaves

Another feature of the diet of Egypt is the offensive odor it leaves in your mouth. Garlic and onions carry very strong and offensive odor which can remain with you all day.

My prayer for you today is that God will take from you every demonic odor that has stigmatized your destiny. Also, it is my prayer that God will serve you a balance diet that will give you a robust and healthy life.

THE DIET OF CANAAN (3)

THE DIET OF WILDERNESS

The diet of Wilderness is a monotonous diet. It is also a predictable diet. The children of Israel were fed with manna throughout their journey in the wilderness. They had no choice. The
Wilderness diet is not a three course meal. It is the same thing everyday. The diet of Wilderness lacks varieties.

The diet of Wilderness is manna, a bread from heaven that they did not know how it was baked. It cannot be preserved even for one day. All you get is your daily ration. If you attempt to make provision for the next day, it will breed worms and also produces an offensive odor.(Exodus 16:16-21)

By virtue of the nature of human beings, we do not like any thing that is monotonous. Monotony can cause frustration and depression, Most of the complaints of the children of Israel against Moses was as a result of frustration from the monotonous diet of manna.(Numbers 11:6; 21:5)

Each time the children of Israel complained about the monotonous diet, they were seriously punished for it. The first time they complained about it, telling Moses to give them meat, the Lord punished them by striking them with a deadly plague. The bible records, "But while the meat was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, the wrath of the Lord was aroused against the people with a very great plague." (Numbers 11:33) The second time they complained, God struck them with serpent and they died in large numbers. (Numbers 21:5-9)

The diet of Wilderness is a monotonous diet. It is a diet of frustration and depression. To make it worse, you cannot complain about it. Your complaint will be met with severe punishment. I pray for you today that the Lord will take from your table every monotonous diet of Wilderness. The Lord will deliver you from every diet of frustration.

THE DIET OF CANAAN (Concluded)

The spirit of the Lord is upon me today to serve you the diet of Canaan. You cannot eat the diet of Canaan until you get to Canaan. However, Canaan is a promise land for covenant people. If you are not covenanted to live in Canaan, you will be removed. Remember that some people were in Canaan before the children of Israel could have their place there. They were removed from the land so that the children of Israel could occupy it. Canaan is not a promise land for everybody. However, being a land of promise does not mean that there will be no challenges in the land. You being a covenant child of God does not mean that you will be totally immune from the challenges of life. Abraham was a covenant child of God, yet he was faced with the challenges of famine right in the promise land. ( Genesis 12: 10-11) Isaac also faced the challenges of famine in the promise land.( Genesis 26:1-2) The same thing happened to Jacob. He faced the challenges of famine.( Genesis 43: 1-3)The truth we always fail to realize is that the solution to all the challenges of the promise land could also be found in the promised land. The solution is not in Egypt or elsewhere. But when the people in the promise land decide to come out of the promise land in search of solutions, the bible says they "went down".( Genesis 12:10; 26:2; 43:3) However, when they came out of Egypt, the bible says they "went up".( Genesis 13:1) Before we can really appreciate the spiritual nutritional value of the diet of Canaan, we need to examine and analyze the spiritual nutritional facts of the diet of Egypt and the diet of the Wilderness which I gave you last week, now we can see the real thing.
THE DIET OF CANAAN
Contrary to the diet of the Wilderness, the diet of Canaan is a balanced diet. Also, unlike the monotonous diet of the wilderness, the diet of Canaan is full of varieties. Unlike the diet of Egypt, which is served to keep the children of Israel alive so that they could keep working as slaves, the diet of Canaan is a full ration that you can take as many as possible.Let us consider what constitutes the diet Canaan. We can find this out in Exodus 3: 8. Here, it is recorded that Canaan is a land flowing with milk and honey. Milk and honey is part of the diet of Canaan. The diet of Canaan also consists of fruits and other produce, roasted grain, unleavened bread. (Joshua 5:11) This is the diet that children of Israel used to celebrate the feast of Passover. This is the first Passover after crossing the Jordan into Canaan. A day after the feast of Passover, Manna stopped from coming down. From that time, they began to eat the food of the land of Canaan. (Joshua 5:12)But before the children of Israel entered Canaan, they were circumcised and the reproach of Egypt was rolled away from them. You cannot enter Canaan with sin. That was why all the circumcised adults who sinned that left Egypt were destroyed before they got to Canaan. Before you can eat the diet of Canaan, you must first be in Canaan. In this sense, you have to be a Kingdom citizen. This means you have to refrain totally from sin. As you read this message, I charge you to come to Jesus to remove from you the garment of sin and roll away your reproach. Then He will feed you with the diet of Canaan.

Arch Pope, Rev, High priest..............? Guess

I feel very happy this morning as i load this piece of information. Big thanks to those who have taken time to visit this Blog.

Hi Guys this is funny. What do you think about this picture? Pastor getting an Honorary Degree or dressing as Priest and preaching in one of the major Religions or what? Give me your guess.
Have a great time.

Isaac Onega
Oh my God, this would be a great picture to show to Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala and ask him if he has this Ugandan priest in his database. That is unbelievably cool.

Henry Katongole. E
Ugandan Cardinals and the Pope himself should be very careful of their positions. Ani yali Amanyi? This is a song of the Late elly Wamala. But who knew or expected that a gift can raise the pastor to this level.

We are eager to get the answer to this. I hope Pastor was preaching in one of the religious churches in Kalamazoo.

The God of Shiloh!!!!

The whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh and set up the Tabernacle of meeting there. And the land was subdued before them. But there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes which had not yet received their inheritance. (Joshua 18:1-2) One of the significant aspects of Shiloh is that it was where the remaining seven tribes of Israel were allotted their inheritance. Shiloh was where the distribution of the land of Canaan to the Israelites was concluded. This is where the exercise of distributing the land was finalized. (Joshua 19:51) If you don't get your portion at Shiloh, you have missed out.
The distribution was done by casting lots. What you get depends on your lot. (Joshua 18: 10) The people would probably have prayed fervently a lot for a good and fertile land. The belief of the people ever since was that Shiloh is a place where you come to possess your possession. It became a tradition where the people come annually to pray for a better lot for things that will add value to their lives. The mentality of the people is that if you miss it at Shiloh, you could hardly get it again. It may mean that you have to wait for another year when the feast will come up. That is why the people that come to Shiloh come with a sense of desperation. They come with determination to receive from the Lord. They are not ready to take "No" for an answer.

You will not miss out. The land will be subdued before you. When the lot is cast, you will inherit the best. Your shame shall turn to fame and provocations from your adversaries shall turn to congratulation. Another interesting aspect of Shiloh is that it is where the curse and covenant of delay marriage was broken. When nearly all the male descendants of Jabesh- Gilead were killed, the young ladies there could not get husband to marry. About four hundred virgins from the tribe of Jabesh-Gilead were crying because there was no man to marry them. Then, they were instructed to go and dance and celebrate at the annual feast at Shiloh. Also, the men of the tribe of Benjamin were crying for wives. Their tribe had been destroyed and those that remained were mostly men. The women have been killed and there was every indication that the tribe of Benjamin would go into extinction. They were also instructed to go to the annual feast at Shiloh.

(Judges 21: 23) Shiloh is a place of divine connection for people looking unto God for good husband or good wife. By this time of next Shiloh, you will come with Testimony Another thing that is so unique about Shiloh is that it is a place where the spirit of barrenness is put to shame. (1 Samuel 1: 1-28) Now listen. When you want to receive at Shiloh, you must adopt the strategies of Shiloh. The first strategy is the strategy of specificity. This means that you have to be specific in your prayers. Don't just ask for blessing. Make it explicit whether it is the blessing of money, fruit of the womb, promotion at work, new car, new house or spiritual blessing.

A vow is like a fertilizer. After you have planted your prayer, you add fertilizers in order for it to grow and yield better fruits. A vow is like petrol in your car. Your prayer is the car that can takes you from one point to the other. When your car is out of petrol, then you get stranded. You must constantly fuel your prayer with the petrol of a vow.

She stood up and wipe off her tears. The bible says her countenance changed. Once your countenance changes, your prayer has been answered. As it was in the time of Hannah, so it is now for you in Jesus name. Amen. Solomon

Update from Ps. Solomon

Brethren, Left Uganda on Friday 23rd aboard Ethiopian airlines, we got delayed because President Mohammad Abdul-Aziz of the Saharawi Republic was also flying with us, on the plane they greet the big man and ignore the rest of us, arriving at Addis, we got delayed as they lay the red carpet for the big man, I never knew there are Presidents that fly public, at least our own has I think two jets since they could not find market for the old one.
We latter connect to Rome where we could not take off because the head wind and not the tail was over 100 miles an hour, this is not the best season to travel especially to the white mans Country as the weather becomes extremely cruel.
My delay in Rome means delaying Ambassador Larry Huggins who is waiting for me at Washington Dulles airport for a brief meeting before I connect to St. Louis. Indeed I find the man of God waiting for an hour and he helps me with my luggage as we look for a place to eat as we talk, the meeting was a great one after 5 years of my waiting to get an opportunity to talk to him on a one on one. I remember 5 years a go when I met him at the beautiful Green Lake Conference and he called me out and prophesied and also prayed for me and my ministry, telling him of the great change in the direction of my ministry after his prophesy, he told me that it takes the Prophet of God to confirm a ministry, I had never heard of that before but I believed it because of how I see things going after his prophesy. He and his team will be visiting Uganda in January.
Talk about his team, Danny Rouse the Campaign manager and a great friend of mine who always does my schedules and buys my tickets while in the States did a great job in finding very cheap tickets for me, may the Lord bless him indeed, this was great saving and travelling as well.
I latter board Air Tran to Atlanta and then connect to the gate for my next and final flight to St. Louis, I head to my gate, C 16 and then it is changed to C 20 after we board, the announcement comes that we have to get off because the plane is licking, hydrogen or something and we hurry out of the death trap this time to gate C 7 only to be informed to go to gate C 11, confusing Hhhhh!!, finally we are allowed on another plane and on our way to St. Louis, another delay and Pastor Lonnie is out there waiting and I have no phone to call when I land, well some how I get help from the person I sat with and use her phone to direct Pastor Lonnie to where Iam.
I jump on Lonnie’s car on my way to Mattoon Illinois, via Effingham, a three hour drive, very tired but still has to keep going, finally we arrive at 10:30 pm Saturday, I run to bed right away to get some little rest since I have two services to preach the next day which is just a few hours away.
Do you see how I enjoy America? This is why I need your prayers as we travel, in fact as I write this, I’m on a train on my way to Chicago and then connect to Kalamazoo.
I will give you an update on the two services in Mattoon at Liberty Church. The messages should be posted on the net, I think. God bless you and keep me in your prayers. Solomon, putting on three layers of clothes because of the biting cold.
